Monday, July 13: Home vs. Hazleton

Outlaws 8     Hazleton 7

   Jon Mandile (4-2) pitched a complete game and Chris Newhook drove in the winning run with 2-outs in the bottom of the 7th as the Outlaws snapped their 4 game losing streak defeating Hazleton 8-7.

   With 1 out in the bottom of the 7th, Aaron Rushin walked and Scott Price came in to pinch run.  Price promptly stole 2nd to put the winning run in scoring position.

  Mandile followed with a walk.  With 2 outs, Chris Newhook lined a 2-1 pitch into center field.  Price motored around 3rd base and barely beat the strong throw by the center fielder for the winning run.

  Mandile pitched his 4th complete game of the season giving up 4 earned runs while striking out 4 and walking none.

  The Outlaws improve to 11-7.
