The Outlaws recovered from
a shaky start to come from behind to defeat Towamensing Township
12-4. The Outlaws tied a franchise record by winning their 5th
straight game and are now 5-0 to start the season.
After falling behind 3-0 in the
bottom of the first, the Outlaws answered with 2 of their own in the
top of the 2nd. Jake Hollweg started it by reaching on an
error and then promptly stole 2nd and 3rd. After Glenn Iversen
and Cody Knecht were walked to load the bases, Jon Mandile walked to
get the Outlaws on the scoreboard. Scott Price reached on a
fielder's choice which allowed Iversen to score to make it 3-2
Towamensing.
In the 3rd, the Outlaws took the
lead thanks to singles by James Loua, Joe Abuiso and Josh Perch.
Jake Hollweg's double made the score 5-3.
In the 5th, Jon Mandile smacked a
2 run double and Matt Suter drove in Scott Price to make the score
10-4. Jake Hollweg picked up his 2nd victory of the season.
Jake struck out 9 and walked 1 in 5 innings of work.
