Highlights from
the 2008 season:
May 24: On a cold,
blustery day, the Outlaws defeat Lower Nazareth 4-3 in their
Inaugural game of 2008.
May 31: The Outlaws defeat
McAdoo/Weatherly 21-4 scoring 15
runs in the 2nd inning. Jake Hollweg hits a grand slam; the
first in Outlaws history.
June 7: Glenn
Iversen pitches the Outlaws' first complete game of the season.
June 12: Jake throws
the first complete game shutout in Outlaws history.
June 20: Jon Mandile
takes a perfect game into the 4th against Upper Mt. Bethel.
The Outlaws win the game 8-1.
June 21-22: Cody Knecht is named
the starting pitcher for the American League in the 15-16 All-Star
Game. In the 2nd Inning, he will team up with James Iversen
who is behind the plate catching. The American League crushes
the National League in the game.
Jake is named
the starting pitcher for the American League in the 17-18 All Star
Game. Glenn pitches well in the 2nd
Inning. The American League defeats the National League 21-2.
Cody, Glenn, and
Josh Perch all hit Homeruns in the Homerun Derby. Glenn and
Josh each hit 2, while Cody hits the only one in his competition.
June 22: Jake is named the MVP of the 17-18 All Star Game.
June 24: Cody pitches
the first no-hitter in the history of the Outlaws as he blanks the East Stroudsburg Mustangs. The Outlaws win the
game 10-0.
--Larry Kresge steals home.
--The Outlaws start the
season 13-0.
July 5: The Outlaws finish the regular season with a 16-3 record.
July 19: The Outlaws
defeat the Hurricanes 6-2; defeating them for the 2nd time in a week
to knock their arch-rival out of the American League playoffs.
July 21: The Outlaws
lose 10-5 to the Red Sox in the Keystone Championship series to
finish 2nd in the League.
